BILBAO

Yes, I'm in Bilbao! Abandoned in the heat, we were greeted by a rainy and cool city but characterised by a "muy caliente" soul. Here we are in the midst of the Semana Grande, which means every kind of events (music, theatre and street party) until late at night. In summary: a hoot! Obviously my day was not only based on pintxos and wine but mainly on museums. The Museo de Bellas Artes is really interesting but the Guggenheim is really something sensational, especially for those who, like me, has love contemporary art. Not to be missed.

Ebbene si, sono a Bilbao! Abbandonato il caldo ligure, siamo stati accolti da una città piovosa e fresca ma  caratterizzata da un'anima davvero caliente. Qui siamo nel bel mezzo della Semana Grande, il che significa eventi di ogni tipo (musica, teatro e festa per le strade) sino a notte fonda. Riassumendo: uno spasso! Ovviamente, però, la mia giornata non è stata solo a base di pintxos e vino ma soprattutto a base di musei. Il Museo de Bellas Artes è davvero interessante ma il Guggenheim è davvero qualcosa di sensazionale soprattutto per chi, ome me, ha un debole per l'arte contemporanea. Da non perdere.
